Michelle DeStefeno

FBI Special Agent Michelle DeStefeno, an FBIAA member, was reading her local newspaper one day during a stake-out when she saw a story about 16 yr old Haley Wilson’s health struggles. Haley has a genetic disease and needed a kidney transplant.

Michelle signed up to donate…her kidney.She proved to be a match with Haley and took the steps to become a kidney donor. About her selfless act, Michelle says

“I think people who are drawn to the FBI are drawn to a life of service and they want to help people… this was just another opportunity to help someone.”

Haley’s gratitude is profound and says that Michelle’s act “completely changed my life and made me a better person.”
