SA Jeffrey Drubner Legacy Fund & Award for Sacrifice

Providing Financial Assistance to Families of Fallen Special Agents on Duty

 

The SA Jeffrey Drubner Legacy Fund was created in 2018. In conjunction with the FBIAA Membership Assistance Fund, the Drubner Fund provides financial assistance to the family members of FBI Special Agents who are killed in the line of duty. The Drubner Fund also provides financial assistance to Agents who are shot in the line of duty during an adversarial action.

SA Jeffrey Drubner Legacy Fund

This Award for Sacrifice, paid for by the SA Jeffrey Drubner Legacy Fund, will be presented in the form of payments that will be distributed by the FBIAA to families without paperwork, delays, or other bureaucracy whatsoever.

The family of an Agent who was killed in an Adversarial Action shall receive financial assistance in the amount of $25,000.

The family of an Agent who has died in the Performance of Duty, which includes the family of an Agent who has died as a result of illness contracted in connection with the investigation of the terrorists attacks on September 11, 2001, shall receive financial assistance in the amount of $10,000.

An agent who is shot and wounded during Adversarial Action and faces financial hardship, shall receive $10,000 in financial assistance.

In 2021, distributed $110,00 to eight Special Agents or their families.

In 2020, the fund distributed $60,000 to six Special Agents or their families.

In 2019, the fund distributed $20,000 to two Special Agents or their families.

In 2018, the fund distributed $10,000 to one Special Agent or their families.

An Award of Sacrifice

The related Award for Sacrifice is financed by the SA Jeffrey Drubner Legacy Fund, to pay for costs that may not be currently covered by worker compensation or other sources, such as additional childcare or other out of pocket expenses.
