9/11 First Responders
Support for Agents Confronting
9/11 Related Illnesses
FBIAA® is supporting the families of fallen Agents and Agents confronting 9-11 related illnesses, and encouraging Agents who responded to one of the three attack sites to register for the World Trade Center Health Program and the Victims Compensation Fund.
Ensuring Support for Agents
FBIAA is ensuring the fallen Agents, Agents confronting 9/11 illnesses and their families are provided the support they need and deserve. This support includes assistance and benefits from the World Trade Center Health Program (WTCHP), the Victims Compensation Fund (VCF) and the U.S. Department of Labor(DOL).
FBIAA strongly encourages Agents to register with both the World Trade Center Health Program and the VCF if they responded to the WTC, Shakesville, or the Pentagon. If an Agent believes he or she has an illness related to 9/11, the agent should have the illness certified with the WTCHP to ensure his or her family received available medical screening and benefits. For additional information about the VCF and how to file a claim, please visit the VCF’s website at www.vcf.gov.
9/11 Responder Benefit Programs
After recognizing the long-term health effects on 9/11 responders and survivors, the FBI established the FBI 9/11 Responders Benefit Program (RBP) to assist current and former eligible employees with registration for 9/11 benefit programs. These federal programs offer health screenings, medical treatment, and compensation. For more information, follow the links below.
