FBI Agents Association to Host G-Man Honors Event Virtually on November 19; Dr. Anthony Fauci to Receive FBIAA Distinguished Service Award

The FBI Agents Association (FBIAA), representing more than 14,000 active and retired FBI Special Agents, announced today that the association’s seventh annual G-Man Honors: A Salute to FBI Heroes event will be held virtually on Wednesday, November 19 at 7:00pm eastern. All proceeds from the event benefit FBIAA’s two charitable funds, the Memorial College Fund and the Membership Assistance Fund.

Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, M.D., Director, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), will be the event’s keynote speaker and receive FBIAA’s Distinguished Service Award. FBI Director Chris Wray will be a special guest at the event and host a special roundtable with FBIAA Memorial College Fund beneficiaries.

“FBIAA’s G-Man Honors is a night to recognize the service and sacrifice of the men and women of the FBI and their families,” said FBIAA President Brian O’Hare. “We are honored to present our highest award to Dr. Fauci and thrilled that Director Wray will join us and speak to the student beneficiaries of FBIAA’s Memorial College Fund. The powerful stories of our FBI families are truly inspirational, and we are excited to share them with FBIAA’s members, friends and supporters.”

“While this year’s G-Man Honors event will be a little different than previous years because it will be virtual, we have a great program planned and the online platform will allow for broad participation,” stated O’Hare. “The event will be free of charge and we encourage everyone to watch the program, and donate to FBIAA’s charitable funds, at www.gmanhonors.org on November 19.”

Past recipients of the FBIAA’s Distinguished Service Award include former FBI and CIA Director William Webster, General Stanley McChrystal (Ret.), Secretary Leon Panetta, and General John W. Nicholson, Jr. (Ret).

As director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Fauci has advised six Presidents over more than 30 years. He oversees an extensive portfolio of basic and applied research to prevent, diagnose, and treat established infectious diseases as well as emerging diseases. In 2020, Dr. Fauci was named to TIME Magazine’s list of 100 most influential people for his “courage and candor” in leading the national response to COVID-19.

The FBIAA Memorial College Fund (MCF) provides scholarships for the children and spouses of deceased FBI Agents. Since its inception, the MCF has assisted more 260 children and distributed over $8.7 million in college tuition money. The FBIAA Membership Assistance Fund (MAF) provides financial assistance to FBIAA members and their families who have been affected by a sudden hardship or tragedy.
