FBI Agents Association Statement on the Firing of FBI Agents
and Statement on the Firing of FBI Assistant Director Brian Driscoll
Statement on the Firing of FBI Agents
The FBI Agents Association strongly condemns today’s unlawful firing of FBI Special Agents. These Agents were carrying out the assignments given to them and did their jobs professionally and with integrity.
FBI Agents—the rank-and-file men and women who protect this country every day—asked only for Bureau leadership to follow the law by providing Agents with fair treatment and due process. Director Patel committed to providing that—to Agents, to Congress, and to the American people. Today, he failed to honor that commitment.
This action sets a dangerous precedent. It increases our vulnerability to criminal and national security threats at home and abroad. It prioritizes division over unity, stokes anger instead of solidarity within our ranks, and threatens to chill the work of Agents rather than support it.
We are actively reviewing all legal options to defend our members. We will always have the backs of FBI Agents.

FBI Agents Association Statement on the Firing of FBI Assistant Director Brian Driscoll
The FBI Agents Association strongly condemns the firing of FBI Assistant Director Brian Driscoll. No FBI Agent—regardless of their rank or assignment—should be dismissed without adhering to the legally required fair and transparent process.
AD Driscoll dedicated his professional life to the service of his country. Over his nearly two-decade FBI career, AD Driscoll served in key roles including as a SWAT team member, head of the Hostage Rescue Team (HRT), and tactical section chief for the Critical Incident Response Group (CIRG). His work focused on some of the most complex and critical threats facing our nation, including organized crime, counterterrorism, and child sexual exploitation. For his actions under fire during tactical operations, he was awarded the FBI Medal of Valor and the Shield of Bravery.
In 2025, AD Driscoll immediately answered the call to lead the FBI during a time of unprecedented transition. He provided clarity and stability—communicating openly with both rank-and-file Agents and Bureau leadership, while keeping focus squarely on the FBI’s mission.
He courageously stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the men and women in the field who work every day to protect our great country and uphold the Constitution. His constant integrity, leadership under pressure, and unwavering solidarity with Agents on the front lines reflect the very best of what it means to lead in the FBI.
