FBI Agents Association 11th Annual G-Man Honors Event Raises Record $1.4 Million for Charitable Funds Supporting FBI Families

November 26, 2024 – The FBI Agents Association (FBIAA), representing more than 14,000 active and retired FBI Special Agents, announced today that its 11th annual G-Man Honors: A Salute to FBI Heroes gala in Washington, DC, raised a record-breaking $1.4 million. Proceeds will benefit the association’s two charitable funds: the Memorial College Fund and the Membership Assistance Fund.

More than 600 attendees—including current and former FBI leaders, Special Agents, and supporters—gathered for the FBIAA G-Man Honors, an evening of celebration and recognition.

The event featured a keynote address by FBI Director Christopher Wray (video here), who expressed his gratitude for the association’s dedication to supporting FBI Agents and their families. He praised the unwavering commitment of FBI personnel, stating:

“Taking care of each other is at the core of who you are, who we are, and I’m eternally grateful for it… my confidence in the men and women of the FBI—in our ability to protect the American people and uphold the Constitution—remains unwavering. And I make that assessment from a vantage point that, after about seven and a half years in this job, I think is pretty unique. I’ve rolled up my sleeves, I’ve lifted the hood, and I’ve taken a good hard look around. And what I’ve seen—what I continue to see—is inspiring.

Our folks put everything they’ve got—courage, selflessness, and strength—into their work. They show up for each other with compassion and support when their FBI Family members need them the most. Even when they’re off the clock, they’re out there demonstrating heroic acts of bravery and sacrifice—often to help people they’ve never met and won’t ever see again.”

FBIAA President Natalie Bara emphasized the importance of unity and shared values within the FBI community:

“The FBI is truly greater than the sum of its parts. There are 14,000 of us, each with unique backgrounds, skillsets, religions, races, and ideologies. These differences make us stronger as an organization. But one thing unites us all: integrity. Integrity connects us. It defines who we are and guides us through the most sensitive and dangerous challenges we face.”

At the gala, FBIAA honored retired FBI Special Agent Joaquín “Jack” García with the 2024 FBIAA Distinguished Service Award. García, one of the most successful undercover operatives in FBI history, participated in hundreds of operations during his 24-year career, leading to significant convictions of organized crime figures, corrupt politicians, and drug traffickers.

Since its inception, the FBIAA’s charitable initiatives have provided critical support to FBI families. The FBIAA Memorial College Fund has awarded over $13 million in scholarships to more than 300 children and spouses of deceased FBI Agents. The Membership Assistance Fund has provided over $3 million to over 790 FBI families facing sudden hardship or tragedy.
