About The FBIAA

HISTORY

The FBIAA was founded in April 1981 in response to the growing recognition that agents needed to join together in order to protect and advance the interests of their profession.  The Association was incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia as a non-profit corporation on September 18, 1981.  For a detailed history of the founding of your FBI Agents Association click here.

MEMBERSHIP

The FBIAA currently has a membership of approximately 9,800 active duty agents, representing about 80% of agents presently employed by the Bureau.

Regular membership is open to all active duty FBI Agents, including supervisory and management agents.

Associate Membership is open to all former or retired special agents.

Honorary Membership is bestowed on selected individuals who are nominated by an FBIAA Chapter or the National Executive Board, and approved by the National Executive Board.

Only regular members have the right to hold chapter and national offices, and to vote in Association elections.

DUES

Annual dues for Active members are currently $78.  Associate members pay $26.  Payment of dues can be made bi-weekly through automatic payroll deduction.  Please call the FBIAA National Office for signup information. It's a great career investment for just $3 a pay period.
